With over 20 years of experience, including time honing her craft in London, Teena brings exceptional skill, artistry, and care to every guest. A qualified NZQA Assessor and former technical educator, she has trained stylists across New Zealand and worked backstage at NZ Fashion Week and the Vodafone 
Music Awards.

Specialising in blondes, dimensional colour, and precision cutting, Teena creates effortlessly modern looks tailored to each client’s style and lifestyle. At the heart of her work is genuine connection, offering a space where you can relax, feel understood, and leave refreshed and confident.

STUDIO FIFTY18 HISTORY

With over two decades of hairdressing experience, including experience in London, and a qualified NZQA Assessor, Teena has worked as a technical educator, training stylists in salons across New Zealand. 

Teena has styled hair for NZ Fashion Weeks and the NZ Vodafone Music Awards. Wanting to put her passion for hair and extensive experience to use, she and Willie decided to open their own salon.

Leaving her clientele behind in Palmerston North, Teena found the prospect of starting anew in Upper Hutt both exciting and daunting. They chose a name that held special significance Studio Fifty18 Hairdressing - Teena, the local postcode!

With over a decade of experience, Janine has a true gift for understanding her clients’ needs. Her calm nature and attentive listening make every appointment feel relaxed and comfortable.
